From the first airplane, a Curtiss P-40 to the Mosquito and the Me262 you will find many of the great aircraft of both World War I and World War II. Should you ever find yourself within a day or two drive; this is a must see There are several functions held at the Museum. Two major air shows. In May the WARBIRDS OVER THE BEACH and in October is the World War I. The largest private collection in the world! Aircraft from USSR, Germany, France, Japan, England, and of course USA. the outside, in fact easy to miss if driving you; but the breakfast was great and the coffee hot! The lunch and dinner menus looked good too. When I left Ricks, took a cup of coffee with me. Didn't last long. So made a refill at the airport. My conversion works out really well for my travels. You can see it at the right in the video of the build. The Museum maintains a couple of historic hangers where they maintain the aircraft. MID - ATLANTIC RC CLUB was in attendance and brought some surperb model aircraft. And then there is this: As in past years there were re enactors; however not as many as in the past. As you can see from these photos below, some tremendous effort goes into bringing us a look at life on the front. See You DownThe Road |
